Oscar Preston – 2nd Overall For Blokfest 2017/2018

Jurassic Team Climber Oscar Preston claimed 2nd podium place overall for 5 round series of Blokfest 2017/2018. Since Oscar started with our Jurassic Team and Coaching scheme we have been working on his base conditioning but now we are moving forward to improve his already awesome strength and power. This series podium followed five great results in each round! Here in his own words is what happened!

Oscar Preston – After starting on the easier problems to warm up I felt strong so moved onto the harder problems. There were a few crimps problems that I love and so flashed them. I have been training on big volume problems and flashed these as well (see video). My score was 178 and I tied for 2nd place in today’s round and came 2nd place overall for the series after the 5 events. My training effort is definitely paying off!

So why has Oscar done so well and why is he improving all of the time. Well, basically Oscar shows true dedication to following his coached training plans, is totally motivated and puts in the maximum effort. The coached training plans that he follows are written specifically for Oscar by our Head Coach, Paul Jackson following monthly 1:1 coaching sessions. This way we can look at where Oscar needs to improve and write that into a plan that meets this needs and without injury.
