The nice weather has arrived, with it comes the outdoor walking and climbing season and Jurassic Climbing Academy is ready. Whether you are looking to have a steady day on the hills to learn or improve your navigation or hillwalking skills, or maybe get onto the steeper ground, we can help. What better than to be taken out onto the hills by experienced, qualified, insured coaches and instructors. We cover all UK mountain and lowland walking areas, can supply all equipment other than personal clothing etc. These sessions are available for all abilities, 1:1 coaching or groups of up to 6 walkers, and for one or multiple days.

Scrambling Courses

This is a great session for those who are hillwalking and want to get onto the steeper ground or as a first step towards climbing. We will give you the knowledge and skills necessary to be independent in grade 3 to grade 1 scrambles. The session will be tailored to your current ability, experience, and goals and we will give you a debrief at the end of your session with advice on how to improve further.

Mountain and lowland walking route planningThis is a great session for those who have some good general walking experience and want to get off of the beaten track or those who are working towards outdoor awards such as Duke of Edinburgh or Mountain Training Association. We will give you the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate proficiently at your desired level and will include night/poor visibility navigation if required. The session will be tailored to your current ability, experience, and goals and we will give you a debrief at the end of your session with advice on how to improve further.
