What does the plan involve?
Week 1: Getting to grips with that footwork and specific tasks to practice over 3 days during this first week.
Week 2: Now you have the basics of footwork, we start on the hands, getting the right grip on those pesky holds.
Week 3: Build on that footwork! There’s no point just practicing it a bit, this week we look at refining your footwork to make your climbing smoother and more precise.
Week 4: Movement and straight arms. This is a classic pit-fall for all beginners, and getting it right will not only make climbing easier but make your movement look better on the wall.
Weeks 5-8: We take the basics covered in weeks 1-4 and build on your technique. This includes using weight transfer in moves, body rotation and overall improvement to the way you move, manage your centre of gravity and work on your technique.
